Howard Webkamigad

Biography

Howard Webkamigad was born and raised in wiikwemikooNsing which is an area of the Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve located on the eastern end of Manitoulin Island in Ontario, Canada. He is a residential school survivor who retained his anishinaabe language. He spent most of his adult life teaching the language to many students over many years. He is now teaching a first year anishinaabe language course at MSU which is his passion.
