Biography
MA in Linguistics from Sophia University in Tokyo and from Michigan State University.
Kiyotaka Suga is a Japanese Teaching Assistant studying at the Second Language Studies Ph.D. program. He received his MA in Linguistics from Sophia University in Tokyo and from Michigan State University. Before he moved to East Lansing, he was teaching English at a Japanese high school in Tokyo. His research interests include a range of topics in Instructed Second Language Acquisition and second language (L2) teaching. Particularly, he is studying topics on how systematically-designed L2 instruction (e.g., input/output-based instruction) can develop L2 learners’ proficiency and how theory/evidence-based L2 instruction can be successfully incorporated into classroom teaching.
