Biography
Dr. Jeya Amantha Kumar is a research associate at Enhanced Digital Learning Initiative (EDLI). She holds a PhD in Instructional Systems Development from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Before joining MSU, she worked as an assistant professor for 6 years in the field of instructional design and education technology. Her research focuses on an interdisciplinary approach to digital learning (MOOCs, LMS, Micro-credential, Multimedia, Mobile-learning, Chatbots) and behavior research for STEM education and pre-service teachers’ education. Dr Kumar uses both quantitative (SPSS and PLS-SEM) and qualitative research methods (thematic analysis, semantic analysis, facial emotion recognition (FER)) and has published in over 40 peer-reviewed journals, including high-ranked WOS/Scopus Q1 journals such as Education and Information Technologies, Comunicar, and International Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education.
