Biography

Dr. Acevedo is an MSU alumna with an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership (major) and Adult Education (minor) and has worked in K-12 and higher education for almost thirty years as a teacher, advisor, curricula designer, and administrator. She enjoys facilitating student writers’ growth and supporting their transformation; in particular, as per her Faculty Advisor role to three MSU Registered Student Organizations. Dr. Acevedo is also a published author who continues facilitating a longitudinal, scholarly writing project that encourages faculty across campus to identify and bond with [their] authentic personal and professional selves through collaboration, reflection, and writing.
