Biography
Dr. Sheri K. Lewis is an Assistant Professor in the African American and African Studies department. Dr. Lewis received her doctorate in Educational Policy Studies and Organizational Leadership with a Graduate Certificate in Gender and Women studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. As a Black girlhood scholar, she incorporates arts based research as creative interventions to magnify Black girls as cultural producers. Dr. Lewis is currently teaching Black feminisms past, present and future and Communities and Actions.
