Biography
I’m Karen-Elizabeth Moroski-Rigney, and I serve as the Director of Strategic Planning, Assessment, and Accessibility for the College of Arts and Letters and as the Chair of the College’s Undergraduate Committee. I’m also affiliate faculty for MSU’s graduate program in Writing, Rhetoric, and Cultures (WRAC) as well as undergraduate affiliate faculty for both WRAC and the Center for Gender in Global Context (GenCen).
I served as one of the two Associate Directors of the Writing Center at MSU from 2019-2023, and prior to becoming a Spartan, I had been English & WGSS faculty at Penn State (University Park) where I also coordinated the Undergraduate Writing Center at Penn State Learning.
My recent scholarship can be seen in College English, Writing Center Journal, Praxis: A Writing Center Journal, The Peer Review Journal, WLN: A Writing Center Journal, and a number of edited collections. I’m deeply interested in questions of accessibility and intersectionality — I want to know how classrooms, programs, and administrative decisions can continue to engage the digital and the accessible in a pedagogically and personally complex world.
