Biography

Virginia Ruifernández Conde is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish at Michigan State University. She received a BA in Humanities and Applied Languages from the Universidad de Burgos, Spain, in 2002. She completed an MA in Spanish from Western Michigan University in 2005. She earned her Ph.D. in Hispanic Cultural Studies from Michigan State University. Her research interests focus on 20th and 21st century Peninsular cultural studies, literature, and film; social and political movements in Spain; globalization and transatlantic studies.
